Wouldn't want to give it up for new

by   paulamjames ,   Feb 3, 2001

Pros:  Smooth ride, quiet, good turning radius, fair mileage.

Cons:  None

The Bottom Line:  Hope it lasts forever.

Overall Rating: 5/5 stars

Author's Review

I have a 1993 Suburu Legacy Wagon. My dog and I practically live in it, driving between cities three days a week. It's roomy and comfortable. I schlepp all sorts of boxes and equipment around in it every day, and the interior has really held up.

It was recently stolen, but miraculously found 5 days later. In the time it was gone, I dreaded getting a new car (which would have been a Legacy or Forester). I would have missed the automatic seat belt , but looked forward to keyless entry.

My mechanic agrees that my car is in great shape, although over time it has needed a few things fixed. For now, it's worth a few hundred dollars a year to keep it in tip top shape, than to spend a few thousand a year on a new one. At this rate, I'll be able to tour Europe and still have a great car to come home to.
