The Best! Spare your back. Bond with your baby

Changing your baby from a side laying position makes no sense. Unlike the majority of changing tables available, the Stokke Care is designed so that your baby is facing you. This changing table is not only intuitive but has a tall profile so that so you don't have to bend over to change your baby saving your back from (more) strain. Also, with you and the baby facing each other you can make eye contact and play more easily encouraging bonding. The snap on plastic side containers have ample room for lotions, powder, etc... to be within safe reach. The shelves are deep and allow for lots of storage. I was able to find baskets to hold diapers, act as a laundry hamper, and hold clothing at Target for a much more reasonable price than the Stokke baskets. The design is handsome and the idea of this table converting to a desk later makes it a sound investment in furniture(my child is too young for me to know if I will use this option). I assembled this without too much difficulty while 8 months pregnant. It requires a special pad cover that is not included. I would recommend buying at least two up front and also using a smaller protective pad so that you don't have to wash the cover so often. It is a specialized item so finding the covers can be challenging.
