Author's Review
The movie "Step Up" just looks like another typical dance movie when one looks at the cover, but in fact it is not just another dance movie. The story within shows more than dancing, it shows that some of the struggles between the more fortunate and less are similar. The more fortunate girl, Nora, has issues with her mom and dancing is the only thing that makes her truly happy. The less fortunate boy, Tyler, comes from a foster family and dancing, like the girl, makes him happy.
Tyler and Nora come to meet when Tyler is forced to do community service at the dancing school Nora attends. She needs a dancing partner and Tyler offers to help. He does more modern dancing and she does more ballet and ballroom dancing. They begin working together and a love is born because of it. It is the typical situation when something happens and they stop seeing each other, but in the end they put it all behind them, dance together in a show, and get back together.
I love this movie!!! It is a great story, the dancing is amazing, and the actors are great. The costumes, the music, the scenes, and the dialogue make it great!
