4 Dance Shoes out of 5!

It’s easy to see how this movie is easily considered a typical chick-flick dance movie, but I do believe it provided slightly more then the norm. Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan were charming as the main leads. Each of the backup cast also brought their own type of flavor to the movie making it a wonderful mix movie going fun.

We all know this movie is going to end in some kind of big dance production because that is what is supposed to happen in these types of movies. But this time we also got to see several great scenes of dancing throughout the film, filled in with several moments of comic relief. The whole audience had many moments of laugh-out-loud fun.

It was great to see it was the actors doing their own dancing. Even the choreographer for the movie was the dance teachers shown in the movie.

And if you purchase the DVD it had great extras including deleted scenes, bloopers, videos from the artists on the soundtrack and clips of people who auditioned to be in the videos from the MySpace.com contest.

Although everything was predictable of what was coming next, including a sad part, which again is typical, it had a good moral to its story. I defiantly give it 4 dance shoes out of 5!
