Who wants to ba an ace?

When this game was release i was overjoyed! Finally a game that was made for fans to played over the internet. It was a great moment in Star Wars gaming. I ran out and bought my copy the day it came out. I had a few problems getting it to run at its proper speed but once that was fixed i was hooked.
The graphics on this game were far better than anything LucasArts had previously released and the sound was a major improvement as well. The pop up displays before each mission laid out everything you needed to know about you ship, armament, wingmen and enemy. You could even change what ship you wanted and what type of weapons you were to carry depending on the mission type. It added a hint of reality making you feel like a real flight leader.
The newest and best part of this game is the head-to-head gaming. You get to test your skills as a pilot not against the computer anymore but a real human being. By way of the internet you can connect with another player and see who truly is the ace.
The real genius of this game however has nothing to do with its sound, graphics or its head-to-head abilities. The real genius is that the designers left the controls for the game the same as in the X-wing game. this made learning the new game a snap! It was like i had been playing the game for months already and i had just started.
If you want a good, fast learning game to start you off on head-to-head gaming this is the game for you.
