Sirius is even better with this radio

This Starmate 4 was purchased to replace my Starmate 1 which was having power problems. What an upgrade! In addition to the updated design, which is much more pleasing to the eye, it has some great features which makes Sirius radio even better.
This radio has an Artist Seek, instead of just a Song Seek. So - if you hear an artists you like you can tag it so the radio will alert you when any song by this artist is playing on any channel. This is a big improvement over song-seek, which only alerted the listener is the same song came up.

My favorite feature is the 44 minute buffer. With this buffer, you can pause and rewind content. I like to leave the radio on when I am away from the car for a short time. Then when I get back in, I can review what has happened while I wasn't listening. The pause button shows a list of songs, and I can jump to any one of them.

Another nice feature is the FM presets. I use the FM transmitter to pipe it to my car radio. Usually I have a good signal, but when I travel, I can jump to one of the other 5 presets just by clicking a button. On my old radio I had to use the menu in the radio to tune to a frequency, and then go to the same frequency on the car radio. It is much easier to use the presets.

Also nice, but rarely used for me, is the jump button. I live near Boston, so I made the jump button work for Boston weather or traffic. When I click the button, it will wait for the BOS traffic or weather update, and then tune over there when it is coming up. BOS and Atlanta are on the same channel, so I don't have to sit through Altanta weather.
