Spy Fox is Still Tops!

Operation Ozone is the latest in a series by humongous.com and is another winner. Previous titles were rated for 5 and up and I note that with this new release they have appropriately changed the age group to 7+. Don Adams is surely the voice behind Spy Fox, super agent, and your child is his assistant in his venture to save the universe. In this new game, Poodles Galore has developed an Ozone destroying hairspray, recently unleashed on the universe, to ensure the success of her sunblock. The game has several scenes that will remain constant, but others have several variations, playing out differently each time the game is played. We started with the Freddie Fish series when my daughter was five and were immediately "hooked". Spy Fox is a bit more advanced and at six, my child cannot play totally unassisted. There are certain parts that require adult insight and help but I consider this to be a plus. We play these games together. The main skills are logic, memory and problem solving and kids don't even realize that they are learning, which is key to me. My child will forfeit tv time to solve the mystery and believe me, it does not get much better than this. Games can be "saved" so you can get back to where you were when you left off. Parents need to take the time to read the instructions,learn the game and play with their child. There is much humor aimed at us "grown-ups" and this can be a fun challenge for a parent child team!
