SI for Kids is a slam dunk!

What do you get for your child that is educational and also satisfies their sports craving? Sports Illustrated for Kids is the answer.

My son just had his ninth birthday and has been receiving this magazine for over a year. He has had subscriptions to other kids magazines but they had for the most part gone unread before ending up in the recycle bin. Then along came SI for Kids. When SI for Kids arrives he will sit down and read it from cover to cover.

SI has really done a excellent job of structuring the magazine towards the kids. The pages are covered with colorful articles ranging from player interviews to sports trivia and Q+A sessions. Contests and art pages provide the young readers with an opportunity to submit their work for publication.

The magazine also has included a page of collectable sports cards in each edition. This months cards contain pictures of famous athletes in there youth.

I have leafed through the magazine and while it does not replace it's parent, Sports Illustrated, it does have some information of interest.

If you have a sports nut for a kid, this is the magazine for them.
