Not Another Comic Book Hero Movie!
Date of Review: Mar 24, 2003
The Bottom Line: This isn't the best movie ever made, nor is it the worst. I'd watch it again!
As a child, I loved reading Spider Man comic books. As an adult, I couldn't resist watching the new Spider-Man movie. It's always been amazing to me how a spider bite could cause a man to morph into a man capable of making spider webs, climb the sides of skyscrapers, wrap his prey in a web that shoots from his fingertips! But, in spite of the fact that the entire story line is a bit bizarre, the little boy in me still loves to believe in the super powers of such a hero! And, what guy wouldn't want to rescue a beautiful woman such as Kirsten Dunst from evil villains? Come on! We all fantasize about being some sort of super hero! We all imagine saving the world from impending doom! Even my young nephew admires Spider-Man! I've watched this video with him over and over again! We've both just about gotten the lines memorized completely! It's a fun and adventurous movie...appealing to all age groups. And, the special effects aren't bad either!
