Spider-Man 3
Date of Review: May 19, 2007
The Bottom Line: I recommend this movie because it is a great add-on to the rest of the Spider-Man movies
All of the Spider-man movies have been spectacular, but the third Spider-man movie has stuck out the most. For one Peter Parker is now in love with Mary Jane and plans on proposing to her. This plan changes however when he, Spider-man, becomes popular in the NYC. Around the time that he becomes popular Mary Jane loses her job on Broadway and she becomes jealous of all the attention that Peter is getting from being Spider-man. What really ends up sending her over the edge is the fact that at a Spider-man parade the daughter of the mayor kissed Peter in front of the whole city. They later broke up and the black substance that turns him into the evil Spider-man infected Peter. When this happens he becomes a more relaxed guy who is willing to go out on a limb or take chances and risks. This becomes his curse though and quickly turns him into someone that he does not want to be. He finally escapes the substance but pieces of it fall on an enemy of his who is competing for his photographer job. This guy, Venom, uses his power for evil and tries to kill Spider-man to make way for him. To do this he teams up with the Sandman and kidnaps Mary Jane and sticks her in a strung up cab that is hanging over hundreds of feet of nothing. Spider-man eventually shows up to try and defeat the 2, but is at the point of almost being defeated. Finally his friend Harry Osbourne shows up and helps him to save the day. In the end of the movie Venom ends up dying, but the Sandman gets away. Peter and Mary Jane get back together and start dating again. This movie contains a lot more humor than the other two movies and in my opinion is the best of the 3. This movie also contains some adult language, so it is not recommended for young kids. The PG-13 rating is what it got and it means what it says, although I would say that it does barely get that rating.
