Chef's Luv Shack was the second South Park game produced and after the pure and total c*** that is the first South Park game anything would be an improvement.
Chef's Luv Shack takes all your favorite South Park characters and transplants them into a cheesy looking 70's game show hosted by Chef. Now a lot of people say that the cheese factor makes the graphics "suck." But I think it just adds to the corny humor of the game. So you answer questions and then get to play great mini-games in between rounds.
And this is where Chef's Luv Shack shines. The mini-games are great fun. Most of them are rip offs of old Atari favorites like Asteroids (Asses in Space) and Space Invaders (Bees at The Picnic) come to mind. But that's why they're great.
And sometimes you'll be asked to play a "Pressure Round." Which is just like a lightning round where if you answer 10 questions in 30 seconds, Cartman gets an anal probe. That part is hilarious.
But this game has a dark side as well. There are very few questions for one. And most importantly, the single player mode is awful. You just play with yourself. No computer controlled opponents play against, and you just go until you want to stop. It's so boring!
But if you can get a bunch of friends over. Rent Chef's Luv Shack and have a blast, but don't buy it.
