Cosco Soria 01-920 Standard Stroller
Date of Review: Apr 23, 2006
The Bottom Line: I would never recommend this stroller to anyone, not even a person I hated. The word "handling" does not exist.
I thought this Cosco Soria 01-920 Standard Stroller would have been a compact and easy going stroller, I was wrong.
I bought this from the Navy Exchange in Atsugi, Japan, for 30.00. This stroller had a nice sun visor and a big basket and a cup holder with tray.
I do like the tray and cup holder a lot, it is very convenient. The cup holder can hold a bigger size water/soda bottle better than most stroller cup holders that are only big enough to hold a 9 oz bottle size.
The big basket was marvelous, everything I could want from a basket, big, wide, sturdy, durable.
I have some big issues with this stroller despite its wonderful basket. The stroller is really difficult to maneuver around anything, shelves, clothing racks, corners, walls, the wheels stick to everything.
Indoors, I would try to push this stroller through isles at the store, and the wheels would just not cooperate, they would have a mind of their own going wherever they pleased. The wheels would get stuck side ways and it would become so hard to push, I would try pushing harder to straighten the wheels out but there was just to much resistants and then the wheels just get caught on shelves or clothing racks.
If the front wheels are sideways when I first start to push the stroller, it does not move, I have to bend over and straighten the wheels out so that the stroller will move forward.
Pushing this stroller hurt my wrists really bad, it did not go over outside terrain (sidewalks, streets) or indoor terrain very well at all, it vibrated so bad like there were no shocks for the wheels at all and it would irritate my wrists.
My child did not mind riding in this stroller at all, it was comfy for her. It is just horrible to push around places, it is so much added work. This stroller just seemed like it would magically get stuck on anything, rocks, curbs, cracks, corners, sides of sidewalks, shelving, air,... okay the air might be an exaggeration however, it feels true.
