Sony MVC-FD97 Digital Camera: Thanks for the memory.

by   WulfsDen ,  May 4, 2002
Pros: The incredible zoom capability of the FD95 combined with faster, higher-resolution storage.
Cons: It is even more expensive than its pricey cousin.
The Bottom Line: For a wide range of portrait, landscape, wildlife, limited-action, and short movies, it is a super camera with a superb performance. If you liked the FD95, you'll LOVE the FD97.
Review: The Sony Mavica FD97 is an upgrade to the Sony Mavica FD95. The two cameras are extremely similar in both appearance and use.

by   strickla ,  Oct 25, 2002
Pros: 10x optical zoom, very advanced image controls.

With the long 10x optical zoom...

The versatile Mavica MVC-FD97

by   baxter13 ,  Apr 1, 2002
Pros: Has floppy disk and memory stick bays for storage of images.
Cons: The camera has a large body and requires care in steadying it.
The Bottom Line: This is a versatile camera with the feel of a 35mm and would be an excellent transitional camera for someone looking to get into digital photography.
Review: I bought the Sony Digital Mavica MVC FD97 from the company that my mother works for. It had been just introduced to the market so I paid about $700.00 at the time. I was replacing a Sony Digital Mavica MVC FD73 that I used for about a year but was not...
