This is a great camera!

I have had this camera for several years now and do not regret the purchase at all. I had an HP digital camera beforehand, and really like it up until it quit. My husband got this camera for me as a a replacement and it is a much superior camera! I have gotten many compliments on the quality of pictures that this camera takes.
I took many of the pictures at my sister's wedding last year. I uploaded these to kodakgallery.com and she picked up pictures at a local store. The clerks thought that they were professional photos based on the quality and clarity of the pictures. They were awesome!
Another great feature of this camera is the long battery life. I took 500+ pictures on one set of recharable batteries before I had to change out to another set of batteries. I was amazed by the long life. Much more than I expected.
One thing that I would recommend is to get a good size memory card. The internal memory is not very big if you take pictures at the 5mb level. I have a 1gb card and I can get more pictures than I care to think about on the one card.
This camera has a 12x optical zoom. With this zoom I have been able to get very good pictures from one end of a football field to another. I have the digital zoom turned off since I do not like the pixles that show up when it is turned on. I have also taken several short movies with this camera. They tend to turn out only so-so quality, so I tend to use this only when I don't have my video camera. Plus, with the video option there is no zooom available. I have also used the timer, which has turned out to be very handy. It allows me to be in the picture and not only be behind the camera.
There are so many options on this camera, I have owned this camera for over 2 years and still find new things that this thing will do. It is full of options! There's a setting for nighttime use, low light, action, and many more. I don't even know how to use all of the different options. You can go to the Sony website to download the manual in case you misplace the one that comes with the camera. I know that prices have come down greatly since I first purchased this camera, so it is well worth the money! You can't go wrong!
Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my camera and would highly recommend it to anyone considering purchasing a digital camera.
