Small & Sleek & Ready for Action - Sony's Newest Camera

by   ldusold ,  Jul 20, 2005
Pros: Everything about this camera is AWESOME
Cons: I haven't found any yet!!!
The Bottom Line: IF you aren't a beginner, and have at least some experience using Digital cameras, then I really REALLY recommend giving this one a try. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
Review: I recently started shopping for a new camera, not that there was anything wrong with the one that I had, but I just felt that I wanted to get away from the mini cd's and go with something with a memory stick. Of course if I'm going to buy a new camera, ...

Sony's H1 - 12X Zoom With True SLR Feel

by   truegenius ,  Jan 11, 2006
Pros: 12X zoom lens, solid feel, good photo quality, excellent controls
Cons: Automatic mode is too powerful, not letting you control anything; concerns about low-light shots
The Bottom Line: For ease of use, an included charger, good quality photos and a solid feel, the Sony DSC-H1 is arguably the best 5-megapixel camera on the market right now.
Review: BACKGROUND It’s funny how six months can change your perspective on things. Back in February of 2005, I bought FujiFilm’s latest effort, the S5100. Six months later, there was an image sensor problem that caused every low-light photo ...

Great quality photos!

by   michelyne ,  Mar 7, 2007
Pros: Great quality, good focus, lots of a features, and more.
Cons: Takes practice to understand settings. Capture speed is kind of slow.
The Bottom Line: The quality and features are awesome. It takes some practice, but it is not imposible to learn. Recommended it to my parent and they bought it and love it too!
Review: We bought this camera last Christmas and love it! We have a four month old now and I am constantly taking pictures of him. We had a film camera before and I can’t imagine going back. I love being able to take multiple shots and not having to worry ...

Great pictures, easy to use

by   gregvas ,  Aug 17, 2005
Pros: Crisp photos, a zoom with image stabilization that works great, very intuitive to use.
Cons: Action pictures in the sports setting mode are grainy. Sometimes focusing can be challenging.
The Bottom Line: I strongly recommend the product to people who desire a digital camera with 12X optical zoom that lets you get your shots even at great distances.
Review: I looked for a few weeks for a camera that was in the price range I could afford (sub $500) that would provide good picture quality and a nice zoom while being easy to use. After reading several reviews on the Panasonic and Canon 12x optical zoom ...

awesome zoom ratio, great autofocus, great image quality - a few cons so far

by   ima_photofan8 ,  Apr 18, 2006
Pros: GREAT zoom range, image stabilization is WONDERFUL, B-I-G LCD screen, very adaptable
Cons: SIX hours to charge batteries! Supplied lens hood and adapter partially blocks flash
The Bottom Line: Camera allows for more control, creativity than point-and-shoot cameras. Zoom allows better control in framing subjects. Image stabilization is great! Battery charging ridiculous though. Go buy it.
Review: I bought the Cyber shot a few days ago after much research and thought vs. the competion. I've really been impressed so far. A while back I used a 35mm for years which I sold and regretted, but think I'll have a lot of fun with the Cyber Shot. ...

Excellent full featured Camera

by   mikemac4498 ,  Aug 7, 2006
Pros: 12x Optical Zoom, Full Featured, 2.5" LCD
Cons: None as of yet
The Bottom Line: I recommend this camera as it is full featured, has an excellent zoom, and takes clear pictures.
Review: I just purchased my Sony DSC-H1 camera at the Sony Outlet, it was refurbished. I compared it to the DSC-H5 prior to purchase and couldn't pass up the price. The camera has a 12x Optical zoom, this is one of the main features that influenced my decision ...

SONY CYBER-SHOT DH-I STEADY SHOT

by   dano3 ,  Mar 2, 2008
Pros: 12X zoom; Macro; User friendly; Reliable; Sony Quality; HUGE viewfinder
Cons: Flash delay irritating; time lapse between shots slow; some features hard to understand
The Bottom Line: Recommend this camera for anyone wanting great Zoom and super Macro features. Easy enough for beginners; challenging enough for enthusiasts. Not a thin camera so won't fit into a pocket.
Review: I am not a professional photographer, nor was I worried about all the technical aspects of the camera. I just wanted a great camera to capture my photos without much difficulty. I bought the DH-1 one week before going to Sedona, AZ. The manual is not ...

Sony - maybe the last camera I will need

by   escarcha ,  Mar 23, 2007
Pros: Great quality picture Good zoom
Cons: none yet
The Bottom Line: Get the Sony...you won't be unsatisfied.
Review: My husband and I had researched many digital cameras before deciding on the Sony Cyber-Shot. We previously were using a Olympus digital 3.1megapixel and 3X zoom so a higher meg and longer zoom was important to us. This Sony is a 6 megapixel camera ...

Pros: Long battery life, professional results, many options
Cons: maybe too many options!
The Bottom Line: Very good camera with excellent results. Highly recommend!
Review: I have had this camera for several years now and do not regret the purchase at all. I had an HP digital camera beforehand, and really like it up until it quit. My husband got this camera for me as a a replacement and it is a much superior camera! I ...

excellent camera

by   jnaylor82 ,  Jun 29, 2007
Pros: large lcd screen, easy to use
Cons: a little large, plastic lens adapter seems a bit cheap
The Bottom Line: great camera for anyone. Easy enough to use for beginners, and enough features to satisfy that more experienced photographer
Review: I bought this camera about a year ago. When I bought it, I didn't know very much about digital photography. The main reason I bought this camera was for the zooming capability but after using it I discovered it offers so much more. First off, the ...
