On the record, this is a great product

I purchased this recorder for my journalism class with a recommendation from my professor Dr. Richter. For this being one of the first times I actually listen to one of them, I have to admit I'm glad I did. Let's discuss the design first; at about five to six inches tall this recorder is light weight has a sturdy design. I have to admit though I don't really like that it's made out of plastic but it has taken a beaten and so far it still works perfectly. It takes an average sized tape and runs on AA batteries. It comes with speed control, mic and earphone capabilities and a 2x record time feature. Of course being made by Sony the recorder is very high quality, records voices clearly and is extremely durable. It doesn't pick up to much feed back or background noises and you don't really need to speak right into it. With a flat base it's easy to go hands free and with the recorder piece conveniently placed you don't have to do much adjusting. The recorder is also easy on the batteries, during the whole semester I've only changed them once, so that was about five interviews. This was really a good buy for me especially when you consider the quality.
