Can't beat these on value for your dollar!

OK, I think that this review is well qualified because I've been using these Sony MDR-V150 headphones for eight (8) years now!

First, I'll start out with the plusses: 1) Sound quality from a low-cost set of headphones; 2) Durability and strength that is very good for a low-cost set of headphones and 3) Cord length.

I've used these things at work to listen to my iPod, FM radio and for my computer's audio-out for close to 6 years now. Before that, they saw sporatic use at home for two years. For around $15 to $22, you can't beat these things for what they are - quasi studio headphones. Sure, they're not the high-dollar Koss studio monitor headphones, but they're way better (and more comfortable in the office) than iPod Earbuds all day long. Save your Earbuds for the gym and your commute home.

Now, the minuses: 1) Plastic where the headphones slide in & out has broken multiple times on both sides, but that's OK - they tape up nicely and lose ZERO functionality or comfort; 2) leather-covered foam ear pads have come away from their center attaching points, but have held together everywhere else - no compromise on sound or comfort; and 3) The headphones don't completely envelope the ear like higher-end studio headphones do, so be prepared for some sound leakage, but little gain of sound from the outside.

Overall, I'd rate them a 10 on value, 8 on sound quality, and an 8 on construction/durability.
