Sound quality depends on type of music

Date of Review:  Jun 22, 2007
The Bottom Line: Phones sound good with pop music, but solo instruments sound very unnatural due to resonant peaks. At this price, I expected flatter frequency response.
Review: I have an older pair of MDR-V600 headphones (a predecessor to this model) which I like a lot - they are extremely comfortable, even after hours of use, they sound good, and they do a decent job reducing ambient noise. So when I wanted another...

EPINIONS PICTURE IS INCORRECT! Headphones redefine the listening experience.

Date of Review:  May 16, 2007
The Bottom Line: Astounding headphones let you hear sounds in your favorite recordings you have never heard before. Portable design, and closed-back circum-aural speakers are almost sound-proof.
Review: I first want to state that the picture Epinions.com is using for the MDR-V900HD is far from the correct product. The description of the actual appearance is in my review below.

Sony's best studio headphones

Date of Review:  Mar 12, 2003
The Bottom Line: Put simple, you get what you pay for. Incredible sound field produced by professional grade oversized earcups that house jammin' 50mm drivers.
Review: I use headphones for listening to mutliple sources, including computer games (audigy x-gamer sound card), mp3's also via computer, and top notch stereo system. I use my headphones for extended periods of 4 to 6 hours (with short breaks here and...

The V900 is okay, but there are better choices.

Date of Review:  Oct 25, 2000
The Bottom Line: An average performer that isn't worth its relatively high price.
Review: OVERVIEW: I bought these headphones because I wanted something substantially better than the headphones I had been listening to for years. I also wanted an all-around set of SEALED headphones after I was unimpressed with the Sennheiser...

Comfortable personal sound

Date of Review:  Sep 4, 2003
The Bottom Line: Kind of expensive but once you get everything tweaked they sound great.
Review: I replaced my aging Sony headphones with this model after doing a lot of research. I wanted a "traditional" headphone that would isolate me from the surrounding noise and be very comfortable to wear.

I am using these mainly for my computer...

Date of Review:  May 26, 2002
The Bottom Line: Great sound quality and construction. While a little warm, they are comfortable. Well suited to any reference task.
