THE PRICE IS RIGHT

Sony MDR-V600 is an exceptional value for the $100 price tag. Their light weight form fitting design is ideal for home/office use. I would not consider this item to accommodate the high end consumer or professional market. The Sony MDR-V600 would be a great gift for the teenager or general consumer.
The Sony MDR-V600 ear cuppings encapsulate your ears blocking exterior sounds reasonably well. Provided the volume is at normal levels one could easily communicate with others without removing the headset. The Cord Length: 9.8 ft. (3m) extended as specified in the manual is ample length but a longer cord (wireless) would be more preferable. The sounds are crisp and clear with little distortion. Frequency response is substantial compared to similar units in the same price range. The additional adaptor is included which aids mobility from shelf to mobile units. On a 1 to 10 scale - 1 being the worst and 10 the best - I'd give the Sony MDR-V600 an 8 rating.
The headset is ideal for short listening pleasure. However, extended use of an hour or more is a little uncomfortable.
