Great sounding reference 'phones

Date of Review:  May 28, 2007
The Bottom Line: Great sound, durability and clarity. Definitely worth a listen if you are purchasing headphones
Review: I have had my pair of these headphones for 18 years.

These headphones (or the identical model MDR-7506 that basically differs only in the gold-plated plug) are the 'phones that you will frequently see professional studios using for mixing...

These Are The Best Headphones I Have Ever Used

Date of Review:  Jan 3, 2010
The Bottom Line:

I am very pleased with my new Sony MDR-V6 Professional Stereo Headphones, so much so that I might just purchase a set for work.

Review: I do a lot of my best writing early in the morning before the rest of the house wakes up and the noise of ringing phones, televisions, radios, etc. distract me.  And I sometimes like to listen to music while I write and the set of ear-buds that...

Excellent. Perfect for DJ and studio use.

Date of Review:  Aug 8, 2005
The Bottom Line: THE BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK. The best price/quality ratio all around, for under $100 models. Impossible to destruct, awesome sound quality
Review: First things first. This product has been a success among customers for more than 20(!!!) years. These headphones are considered pretty much impossible to destruct. Some people say, on average a pair of these cans will last you for a decade(!!!) or...

Get 'Em While You Can!

Date of Review:  Feb 20, 2008
The Bottom Line: The Sony MDR-V6 Professional Series headphones are the best sounding phones that I have ever owned. Light and comfortable to wear. Highly recommended.
Review: Rumor has it that these Sony MDR-V6 headphones are being (or have already been) discontinued. That is a shame because they are definitely the best sounding headphones that I have ever owned (and I have owned many). I have always been in the habit of...

A standard for video production

Date of Review:  Dec 3, 2009
The Bottom Line: If you want a comfortable, professional quality headphone at a great price, these are the ones.
Review: I have used these phones for years in field video production.  Sony makes three closely related models of headphones: MDR-V600, MDR-V6, and MDR-7506.  This review will spend time on all three, as I consider them closely equivalent other than the...

Great, comfortable headphones for the price

Date of Review:  May 2, 2009
The Bottom Line: I would buy these for any application, just shop for the best price!
Review: These headphones are very nice.  I have owned these and several other Sony models for years and have been pleased with all of them.  I wear these on long sessions on my computer, sometimes extending for six hours or more.  I have no real complaints...
