Forget Bose, Buy These!!!

by   batanen94 ,   Dec 23, 2008

Pros:  Immense bass, comfortable fit, long cord, very durable.

Cons:  Absolutely none.

The Bottom Line:  I recommend these to anyone who wants to listen to music with excellent fidelity on the cheap.

Overall Rating: 5/5 stars

Author's Review

These are the best headphones I have ever had of all time. I have had just about every kind of headphone out there, and there is no way to beat these and spend as much or less.

When I got a Creative Zen V Plus 2GB for my birthday a year ago, I tried to use the headphones it came with. they were the crappiest things I have ever heard. They needed to be used on full volume, but did a better job broadcasting music to those next to you rather than to you.

So, we went to Wal-mart to look for better ones. I had had a pair of JVC HA-FX33's which were basically earplugs with speakers in them. Unfortunately the foam inserts you squeeze and put into your ear started to break apart after about two years. After that experience, I thought they wouldn't be worth it if they were going to break soon.

I kept looking and found for $30(the price has gone up to $40) a pair of Sony's that were similar to these, except for the fact that there is one less "P" on the end of the model number and they are all white. When I opened the box, I saw that it had a carrying case which was better as a thing to wind the cord in more than anything else. It also came with 3 pairs of silicone inserts that you do not need to pinch and then put in your ears. Just find the correct size and slide them into your ear canals.

After listening to them for only about 30 seconds, I realized have much more bass than the JVC's, however there was slightly less noise-cancelling properties, but you could only tell that if you really paid attention. I really didn't care about that since it was still very good at giving you the music. One very funny thing about these is that if you try to make people hear what you are listening to, you woll go deaf in about 5 minutes. They are that loud. Even when I'm listening to music as loud as I dare, no one can hear it, even with the closest person to me is only about 2 feet away and we are taking a test in Zoology class.

The first time I listened to a song with loads of bass in it and I had bass boost on, I was blown away by them.(This gives you the gist of what I looked like when I turned them up. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q2PW02n40-o&feature=channel_page)

These are the best headphones under $40 that I have ever bought.
