Sony ICF-CD843 Clock Radio

My boyfriend and I were really pleased with this clock radio at first. It had great sound and really cool features (like playing TV broadcasts through the radio), but we're heavy sleepers and need a good loud alarm buzzer in conjunction with other sounds. Unfortunately, this buzzer was WAY too quiet for us. That combined with no battery backup killed the deal for us. It's a pity really, it seemed really great otherwise. (though I'd rather another color than blue)

The other odd thing was that we couldn't see the time display when we placed it on the TV. The display seemed to be angled in a such a way that you could only clearly see the time when you were at eye height to the display or higher. As soon as I got into bed, I couldn't see the time anymore!
