Author's Review

Sony's website fails to mention the HDX267W is only compatible with the BRAVIA "S" series which is a new, less expensive version of the XBR2 class. I bought a BRAVIA KDL-V**XBR2 eight months ago and thought it would be compatible with the HDX267W home theater system based on references to the BRAVIA XBR2. Before you buy this product, make sure you have a compatible Sony BRAVIA "S" series TV.
The Sony website mentions in the fine print: "When combined with a select number of BRAVIA® LCD televisions and other Sony audio and video products, control functions will also be transmitted via the HDMI cable." Of course, our BRAVIA XBR2 has HDMI input, but the "control functions" weren't transmitted via the HDMI cable because we have a "V" series XBR2.
