Excellent for Bootleggers

The Bottom Line: I highly recommend the Sony ECMMS907. It faithfully records live sounds with minimal distortions and has useful settings. It's a great deal for the price.
Review: I've been using this mic for a year now in a few different applications.

I mainly use it with a Sony MZR37 MiniDisc recorder. I record band rehearsals in a small room and it does an excellent job of capturing the huge range of instrument...

Great for videography, GarageBand on Mac

The Bottom Line: Overall, I'm satisfied. The mic was inexpensive, it's easy to operate, it uses a standard battery. And bonus, it plugs right into my Macintosh for use with GarageBand.
Review: I have a Sony DCR-TRV900 camcorder, that I'm using on a biography project. I consider myself an amateur videographer. The camcorder is positioned on a tripod about 5 feet or so back from the people. The built-in microphone picks up a lot of room...

Not a bad microphone, but not stunning either.

Review: I used this to tape concerts and band rehearsals. It works OK, and sounds fairly good, but it has a tendency to lose high-frequency response under loud situations.

I don't really like the mid-side stereo that this microphone employs...
