FORGET THE MP3'S AND ANY TYPE OF JUKEBOX

Love my Sony

The Bottom Line: I would recommed this product to anyone who has a little more knowledge of the other great and even better options out there than ipods or typical mp3 players.
Review: I dreamed of owning a MD player ever since grade 8, now four years later I finally got one and I have to honestly say I love it.

It's too bad that MD player technology is only popular in Japan and we are stuck with iPods images in North...

Sony should reconsider ATRAC3plus and SCSM format

The Bottom Line: I rate this low with much pain. I think the Hi-MD format is a great idea, but the restrictions are so bad that you are steered away.
Review: As I am writing this, I have returned the player and exchanged for a jukebox player, but I felt that there were things that needed mention with this player.

Sony, being a big member of RIAA, uses a copyright protection format called SCSM...

Great alternative for mobile personal audio, but....

The Bottom Line: Ipods rules the market and rightfully so. Minidisk provides for unlimited storage capacity and high quality sounds, great buy for the serious music lover.
Review: I was in the market for a hi-cap personal music player during the summer of '04. Of course the IPods were high on my short list, along with Dells, Creatives, etc... All fine systems but didn't want to spend over $200 buxs. I never gave MiniDisk...

Like MZ-NE410, this an entry level MD device

Review: Like other sony minidisc players, great battery life, reasonably tough, better sound than my old MZ-NE410. A good entry-level HiMD player. But again, with the Sony audio products, why does it not do native mp3 playback?
