The Sony DVP NS575P : DVD on a Budget

I bought this unit because my PlayStation would not work as a DVD player for my two-year-olds InteracTV (fisher price). This unit was simple to setup and easy to use. It starts up a little slow but not too bad. I had only one shelf, with any space left, in my TV stand and it was already occupied by my VCR. This unit is so slim it sits on top of my VCR in two inches of vertical space. Picture is very good as is audio. It plays my home DVD and CD recordables perfectly. Music CD play was horrible through TV speakers (though audio from movies was great). No real AV connections for input (just output) – I bought a simple switcher so I could use multiple AV devices in conjunction with this unit. Other than that, this is a great unit for the money. Very satisfied so far.
