The Bottom Line: Definitely buy this is shelf space is at a premium. Get this if you don't already have either a DVD or VCR.

The Bottom Line: Go get a Samsung and be happy. Better quality, less price and easier to use. Sony did not factor in "customer satisfaction" and ease of use on this one.

The Bottom Line: I would not recommend this product to anyone. The DVD portion is full of bugs, and the VHS has shortcomings.

The Bottom Line: I wouldn't recommend this for anyone because of the bugs in playback. Maddening.
Review: I purchased three of these units thinking they would be a big help reducing the number of components in the house. It has good sounding specs: Progressive Scan, Component Out, Commercial Skip and DVD/VHS in one unit.
