Save your money if you want to record albums

The Bottom Line: Find another recorder if that is what you are looking for. This one just creates coasters.
Review: I was horribly disappointed with this equipment. I have over 100 great old albums from the 60's and 70's that I wanted to put onto CD's. I used the SONY Music CD-R's, so there would be no compatibility issues, but in 9 attempts I burnt 7 coasters...

Review: Sony have a winner here. The 5-disc changer works smoothly and faster than others I've used. Overall I like the quality of this machine. By comparison I recommend a "pass" on Philips models.

Very unreliable recording: a 'Coaster' factory

The Bottom Line: Recording is extremely unreliable, and errors generally occur at the end of a recording session. Much wasted time and money. The RCD-W500C is a Coster Factory.

Good sound and after one month still working well.

The Bottom Line: It suits my needs. If not for the drawbacks listed in my review, I would give it 5 stars. As for durability, rating is based on so far, so good.

Unreliable recording

Review: I've been using my recorder for more than a year. It is very unpredictable. Sometimes it records beautifully; other times it looks like it's recording only to give you a "blank disc" read-out. It seems to only like Memorex CD-R Music discs.
