Inexpensive gaming console

The Bottom Line: I recommend this product because of the system's reliability, durability, and affordable price compared to the other game consoles.
The PS-2 has been around for many years. It has been upgraded at least twice. The latest slimline model has been tweeked from 250 to a 273 MHZ processor. The latest model also has been upgraded to the maximum video processor possible for which the system can handle. The size of the new PS-2 is light weight, sleek, and small. The console has 2 controller ports and 2 memory ports. The console comes with 1 controller. You must buy a memory card to save the progress of your games, which is an extra cost; however, the affordable cost, reliability of the product, and the variety of games are unbeatable. I was looking for a gaming system without the high cost and Play Station 2 was a perfect fit at $129.00. A 16 MB memory card can be bought for $17.99. Games range anywhere from $9.99 to $29.99; however, many fun games can be purchased in the $9.99 to $14.99 range. This console is great for anyone who is not inclined to spend the inflated prices on the PS-3 or X Box 360. Although the more expensive consoles have great graphics, they have inflated prices that can cost a bundle. The Play Station 2 is still fun with many games and capabilities. This console will be produced and sold through the year 2010. PS-2 is also very easy to connect to ANY T.V. Portability is no problem. If you want, you can upgrade to wireless controllers and better video resolution cables, the console is also capable of playing DVD movies when you purchase a remote control for around $14.99. After owning this product for 5 weeks, I have no reservations, and recommend the PS-2. I know people who have owned one of these gaming consoles for over 5 years and never had a problem. The only thing to worry about is the wearing out the controllers after months of heavy use. Never fear. You can purchase another one because they are readily available at most stores that sell Sony products. The Play Station 2 comes in 3 main colors - Black, Silver, and White. Whether you are young or old, I believe this is still a great product to consider when shopping for a gaming console.
