Author's Review
I bought my first set a couple of years ago. Since then I bought 2 more for friends and 2 more for myself. I always buy refurbished from ecost.com, from $35 to $40. Ecost seems to always have refurbished units on sale. Very strange.
The first time I tried it, I was very disappointed. The noise was just too loud, no matter what I do - moving, shaking my head, adjusting controls, etc. Then I figured out that I need to turn the volume on the headphone down and turn the volume on the TV up. Since then I've never had real noise problem. Once in a while, noise does come up and it goes away if I just shift my head position a bit.
The sound quality is very good. My friend said it's even better than his wired headphone. For this guy, though, I bought a brand-new one, not a refurbished.
A nice feature is that it automatically turns itself on when you put it on your head. It turns off after you remove it.
It's a bit hard to put on the charger to charge. However, it may be so by design. The charger is also a storage unit. If it's easy to put in a charging position, then you might not want to store the headphone on the charger. You don't need to charge it every day. I charge it every week. Besides, it's not too hard if you aim the charging pins.
I have 2 in my house. At first I was afraid of interference. But it turned out great. With both units on, you may need to press the tuning button once if it doesn't get you the correct source the first time. I also use 2 headsets on one of the base stations. That worked great too. This way, both my kids can watch the same TV show with headphones on.
It's very comfortable to wear. It looks solid.
