Author's Review

I have been shopping around for quite sometime for a TV to fit my everyday needs. OH THIS IS IT! The 40xbr4 is such an awesome TV. I finally nagged my wife enough to agree in replacing our 7 yr old 43" hitachi ultramonster HDTV which dont get me wrong is a fantastic TV(for its time). You cannot compare the two. This TV just about everywhere I went caught my eye almost everytime. The only TV that made me look towards it rather than this one was the 52xbr4 which was a NO NO for the size room I am placing my TV, the 46 probably would of fit but all in all, decided on the 40" and what a fantastic chioce. The TV fits great, easy inputs, simple hook ups, and had the TV goin within 20 minutes after unpacking it IN fantastic HD clarity! I first watched Discovery hd Planet earth and what a treat. I didnt even move the monster TV I replaced out of my way to watch this program. I finally after 20 minutes of wowing myself had a second wind and moved the old tele out of the way into another room. I then hooked up my PS3 to it and put the original SUPERMAN on and couldnt beleive my eyes, it actually looked too good almost fake with the 120hz motion flow technology. My wife came home from work, and this is after weeks of nagging her for this tv and was absolutely blown away from the picture on this TV. I have the TV running off Time Warner Cable, PS3, Wii, Upconvert dvd (which i dont even need)and am running it off a Harmony 550 remote which works fantastic with everything, I will recomend you get this product also, This remote rocks (doesnt work with PS3, its Bluetooth tech).

I love this TV and would recomend it to anyone!

I will recomend that shopping online first is the best way to get your best price. what I did was get a price from Abesofmaine.com which was 1839 shipped free including tax and went to PC Richard which had it on sale for 1999 plus tax (would of been 2170) and they matched the price on spot! I had to take the TV then and there but the extra money I would of spent on the TV went to cables and extended warranty on the tele. GOOD JOB ME!

Best Buy and Circuit City didnt even come close to the price so dont waste your time there!
