I didn't want a Plasma TV becuase of the burn in issue and having to buy another TV in 3 years doesn't cut it for me. I wanted to buy a television that was going to last a long time, included all of the new HD technology and include all of the new digital inputs that are available. The SONY E42A10 did it all.
LCD was the only way to go for me, but the price for flat panel televisions is just too much. I ended up buying this Sony projection because it was light (70lbs compared to 180 for my old 32" CRT SONY), included everything digital and HD, and also because it was a SONY.
There are plenty of inputs on the back of the TV for whatever you might need. I hooked up my Sony receiver, dvd player, PS2, VCR, and Comcast HD Box to the TV. Im using component inputs, HDMI inputs, and the optical out for sound.
There might be a lot of things going into the TV, but when navigating through the inputs, ITS A BREEZE. Sony developed Wega Gate which is so beneficial when trying to flip to the desired input. With Wega Gate you can customize your visual/sound settings for each individual input, scroll through the inputs, and also control any fuction that you might need on the TV.
Once HDTV was seen through HDMI, the picture was absolutely stunning. Brilliant picture in either SD, Digtial, or High Def.
I havent found any problems with dead pixels, light/hue issues, or the screen. Time to time during fast motion I will get SSE (silk screen effect) but that is common with LCD displays.
I only buy Sony, tried everything else, and would only buy Sony again.
