LAMP FAILS FAST

Although Sony states that the lamp lasts approximately 8,000 hours, mine failed after just less than 2 years.  This means I would have had to have it on for 12 hours a day every day since I purchased the TV – IMPOSSIBLE.  Therefore, you’re basically renting the TV until the lamp blows and Sony makes you spend $200 for a new one every other year.
