This DVD player is wonderful! First of all, Sony is a great brand anyway, so it makes sense that their DVD player would be top of the line. I am a movie freak, I love to watch movies: new, old, comedy, drama, action, you name it. The picture quality that this machine produces is second to none (of course this won't hold true if the TV you're using is crappy to begin with.) At first, when I got the DVD player, I was living with my boyfriend who was even more into movies than I am and I was a little skeptical since we already had such a huge collection of VHS movies, I thought it was going to be a huge pain to start converting to DVD's, and for what? The picture wasn't going to be that much better, right? WRONG! It was so worth it! I love that I am able to decide to skip the previews if I want, and being able to jump to specific scenes is great too.
Overall, I love this DVD player and would recommend it to anyone. It is much better than any of the other brands that I have seen at friends' houses. The crisp picture says it all. Buy it.
