by   k2cool ,  May 23, 2002
Pros: Small, Light weight, and very sleek looking
Cons: Expensive
The Bottom Line: If you want a small camera that is easy to use, technology advanced, and you could carry around, this is definitely the one.
Review: The Sony DCR-IP7BT is just amazing, it's small, very sleek looking, and it has lots of useful features. For ordinary people who are looking for small, sleek, simple but useful features, this is definitely "the One". The picture quality is considerably...

Lil' Beut

by   dadofmany ,  Dec 8, 2003
Pros: size, weight, ease, Versitility, connectivity, quality recording everything
Cons: 8mb mem-card (128mb extra was £33) slim battery only 90mins
Review: Versitility I've had this Camcorder for about 4 months now, can’t wait to use it at Christmas. The menus take a while to get, after that it really is a stunning piece of kit. MV tapes available on eBay from £6-£30 for a 4 pack. The memory card ...

Sony's New DCR-IP7BT - The World's Smallest Digital Camcorder...

by   jag2112 ,  Apr 2, 2002
Pros: Loaded with features. Incredibly compact. Easy to use.
Cons: Expensive. Jittery images. New MicroMV media not up to par with MiniDV.
The Bottom Line: Recommended for what it does in its small space, but ultimately far better image producing cameras are out there for far less money.
Review: "Bigger is better..."

That phrase may apply to a myriad of topics and items, but when it comes to electronics, the reverse if often the case - "Smaller is better...".

Witness the cell phone - which has reduced in size...

Smallest camcorder period, but should you wait for the next one?

by   mosborne76 ,  Mar 24, 2002
Pros: Super small, long battery life, "cool" factor.
Cons: New (untested) format, MPEG2 only - not raw DV, pricey.
The Bottom Line: If you want the newest, coolest, smallest - this is it. If you want the best picture, look elsewhere.
Review: Sure it’s the smallest…
It really is. I saw this first at the Photo Marketing Association conference mid-february at the Sony booth. I was stunned at the size, it really is pocketable and even with the mid-range battery stays small enough...

Sony made a big mistake!

by   jal1972 ,  Mar 8, 2002
Pros: great technology!
Cons: price,software!!
The Bottom Line: Use only if you want to make silly short movie's! If you want the film to stay on tapes until it's adaptable to other software that supports it!
Review: well I have to say they had me with this small nifty little camera....But low and behold sony blew it!!! you cannot edit with common PC editing software like pinnacle,I thought it was pinnacle so I tried other editing software with no luck...They make...
