Pros: Tons of features, very easy to use and functional...
Cons: Does not play MP3 format discs...
The Bottom Line: Looking for the perfect company on your run or bike ride? Look no further than the Sony S2 Sports CD Walkman D-FS601.
Review: I was gifted my first portable CD player in early 1996 (along with the Foo Fighters self-titled debut). The featureless Sony Discman was fine enough, and up until about 1998 I used it with no issuesof course then the cover broke off.

Pros: Durable, great sound, outstanding battery life.
Cons: Price, heavy.
The Bottom Line: If you are in the market for a CD player that you can take to the gym without it breaking, this would be an excellent choice.
Review: To start off, let me say that the picture epinions currently has up is the incorrect picture. For the D-FS601, for a look at what the real thing looks like, go to any of the stores that are listed in the compare prices. That said, this CD player ...

Pros: See my review on the D-FJ401 and add a very durable case and carry strap
Cons: Except for the lack of a pause button, none
The Bottom Line: If you're looking for something sturdy and with lots of features and will (hopefully) last a long time, get this ASAP.

Pros: Has digital AM/FM radio tuner, never skips, and is easy to use.
Cons: Takes awhile to get used to combined buttons and average sound quality.
The Bottom Line: I would definitely recommend this CD player because of it's small size, quality construction, good sound quality, and it's extra functions.
Review: Overall I feel that this is a very good deal for the price I paid. I really enjoy the radio option combined into the CD player. This would be an excellent choice for anyone who is looking for a compact, versatile personal audio device. The small size...

Pros: Best player, great for sports, and best battery life and durability out there.
Cons: You should buy headphones for listening inside; TV and weather band don't completely work.
The Bottom Line: Buy this one! It's the best deal for the best price and it's a perfect sports CD player. Just buy better headphones for at-home listening and voila!
Review: First of all, I should mention that the Epinions picture is incorrect. The D-FS601 actually looks li ...

Pros: HQ sound. Built to last. Great AM/FM with TV band. 50 hr battery. user friendly.
Cons: None so far.
The Bottom Line: Buy this one over any I have seen in the $100-160 range. Don't waste your money on cheap junk. This is an entertainment treat and I am worth it!
Review: This was above what I initially wanted to spend. However, the AM/FM/W/TV tuner and the high quality weather-tight construction won me over. Last week I returned a cheap 49.00 player that had micro printed buttons I could not read and was difficult to...

Pros: Please read the cons.
Cons: Distortion when playing rock CD w/ mid or max bass is unacceptable.
The Bottom Line: The distortion when playing some CD's is unacceptable.
Review: The other reviews are correct on the Sony D-FS601 .... At first glance, the Sony D-FS601 portable CD player is that awesome Volvo 240-like durability that is a marquee of Sony "Sports" equipment. Awesome. However, one issue effects CD audio play. ...
