Sony W80 digital camera
Date of Review: Jul 6, 2007
The Bottom Line: I recommend completely. I bought it after much consideration and haven't encountered any major difficulties.
I had a lot of positive experience using this product. The pictures turned out really well in all types of light. I took pictures of the same subject matter with two different digital cameras and this was always better. It doesn't come with a memory card but it can hold up to 15 pictures without one. This is really good for trying the camera out, and if you don't like it, you can always return it without buying a memory card. The only con is that there is a night shot feature but that requires a long time to capture. A tripod is necessary to keep a night shot from blurring. The charge on the camera also lasts really long, up to around 350 pictures. Although it takes about 5 hours to charge, this is really convenient because it can last you a whole weekend trip without charging if you have a big enough memory card. There is also a movie feature that lets you film for a pretty long time without taking up too much memory. It's easy to use and records everything including sound with good clarity. The camera also lets you edit pictures before even transferring them to your computer. For example, you can take portraits of people and blur the borders, to make the picture seem softer. There are also options of taking pictures of scenery, people at night, and even a beach option. I tried the camera out at the beach and it was great. The water seems bluer and the pictures are just much better than a regular camera can take! I totally recommend this product. I haven't encountered any major difficulties so far and I only bought it after a fair amount of research and reviewing other cameras.
