Author's Review
Christmas is a wonderful time of the year, especially when Santa brings you what you want. Sometimes its a hit or miss with generalization when you say "I need a new camera." I said that last year and got a new camera that took ordinary pictures. This year, I got da bomb!
The Sony Cyber-Shot, 7.2 MEGA PIXELS has put a smile on my face, each time I see the finished product my camera produces.
The camera came with a battery pack and charger that plugs right into the wall. It also has a memory stick that holds 600+ pictures. There is an attachment that plugs into the USB port in your computer to download your photos if your computer does not have the capability of putting in your memory stick. The original package also contains a disc for you to download on your computer, for future references, in case your like me and lose your direction manual.
After charging the battery for several hours, I put the battery in the camera, with the memory stick, and turned on the camera. It asks for the date and time, and after programming that, it was time to test the camera. My grandsons know that grandma is a photo lunatic so away I shot, and away they posed, opened presents, posed, etc.
When it came time to see the finished product, I was so pleasantly surprised. The colors were true to form, and jumped out at you. There was a clarity that was so hard to miss, and of course, my beautiful grandchildren looked beautiful.
Now for the necessary information: The camera comes with a battery charger, power cord, rechargeable battery pack case, USB a/v cable or multi use terminal, and a strap for the camera. The camera also has a zoom of 3x, a LCD screen of 6.2cm. The mode dial gives you the choice of auto adjustment, program auto, movie mode, high sensitivity, soft snap, twilight portrait, twilight, landscape, beach scenes, or snow scenes. There is a macro feature for close up shots, and a self timer so you can get into your own photo if you so desire. There is a button on the back of the camera for menu, which gives you options for shooting and viewing photographs. There is also a home button that gives you detailed items displayed on the screen for shooting, viewing images, printing images, managing memory and settings. You really just need to know how to delete bad photographs or the photos that you have saved on disc or on your computer. Thats what I look for.
This camera also gives you a double anti blur technology (super steady shot), face detection, and a full HD 1080. The battery and the memory stick go into the same area, so there is no confusion about what goes where. You can view or delete images at will, and the instructions are not difficult at all. You can do fancy stuff with the options they offer, but what I like best is that you don't have to get into technicalities to take great photographs. Listen, If you are like me and do not want to fuss over features, you just point and shoot and the pictures are alive and vivid.
I have had many cameras in my 55 years and enough photographs to last a lifetime and I have to tell you this camera is one of the best that I have ever had. I wanted to show everyone my grandchildren in living color and I am so pleased at the results.
