Amazing no-flash setting, movies very impressive

Features, features, features!! For the money this camera does so, so much. I bought it recently for just under $300, and now the price has gone up! Get it fast!

My last camera was a little Canon Powershot S110 which I bought about 10 years ago. Now, two months after buying it, the Sony Cybershot DSC-H50 continues to amaze me. The point and click shots look wonderful. Movie mode looks great, just don't forget to use the "high" setting. Night setting is a cool feature. Zoom is outstanding, and coupled with the 9.1 megapixels, grainy shots are almost unheard of. But the one feature that really impresses me (so far), is the low-light setting. I may never use flash again! I visited Monterey Bay Aquarium in May. I knew that the glass displays would be a problem. Nope!! Clicking to that feature, I was almost shocked with the quality of the pictures, thanks to the camera. The Sony 8G memory card, which is proprietary, will store around 2000 pictures at 9M, plus still have room for movies. Battery life is not too bad, just follow the manual's instructions. Mentioning the manual, it is rather basic, not going into great detail which some buyers may miss. Still, I can't recommend this camera enough, whether it be for a beginner or the more experienced photographer. Comes with on-board photo editing and software for editing on you Mac or PC.
