P&S Continues To Amaze the Amature

Date of Review:  Dec 22, 2008
The Bottom Line: Biased toward Sony products.  Significant learning curve esp for the manipulation of the buttons, but doable with patience and care.  Not one for beginner unless much time will be devoted.
Review: I owned an Olympus FE-100 that I bought over three years ago and that gave me problems from the start.  I finally had to accept the fact that it needed to be trashed.  I began the search for another point and shoot to supplement my Sony A350 DSLR...

Very nice camera 15x zoom

Date of Review:  Jun 12, 2009
The Bottom Line: Nice camera   Very good buy
Review: I can't seem to keep up with technology. I had a Kodak 3 mp that was 400.00 and almost the top of the line at the time I bought it. Then months later the same camera is on sale for 300.00 and they now have 5mp out. So I decided it was time to...

A Great Point and Shoot SuperZoom Camera

Date of Review:  Nov 15, 2008
The Bottom Line: I can highly recommend this camera for its photo quality and terrific zoom.
Review: After owning a 3 megapixel Olympus digital camera with a 3x optical zoom, this Sony 15x optical zoom camera was better than I thought it would be. I read several reviews and felt this was the best camera for my needs and it has proven to to be the...

Sony Cyber Shot H50 - A cool camera to hang on with !!

Date of Review:  May 13, 2009
The Bottom Line: My recommendation is a definite buy. Those who have interest in photography will not get a better experience than this.
Review: The best part you find about this is the ease with which you can click through the Auto mode, or go into the selective modes like Easy Shooting, portrait, Movie Mode, High Sensitivity, Auto Smile, landscape, Scene Selection.

Very disappointed

Date of Review:  Nov 16, 2009
The Bottom Line: I would not recommend this camera at all. I wish I had purchased the Sony SX10 or SX20 instead. Even the Panasonic is a much, much better superzoom.
Review: I bought this camera from Wolf Camera for a song when my local store went out of business. I wish I had waited and gotten the Canon that I really wanted. I'm very disappointed with the DSC-H50. It quite simply takes terrible pictures in anything but...

Amazing no-flash setting, movies very impressive

Date of Review:  May 26, 2009
The Bottom Line: Features, features, features!! For the money this camera does so, so much. I bought it recently for just under $300, and now the price has gone up! Get it fast!
Review: My last camera was a little Canon Powershot S110 which I bought about 10 years ago. Now, two months after buying it, the Sony Cybershot DSC-H50 continues to amaze me. The point and click shots look wonderful. Movie mode looks great, just don't...
