Great sounding Sony!

I've listened to all the available portable boomboxes. For the mere price of $99.00, this unit is well worth investing in. The subwoofer is an excellent addition and it really makes the system sound more like a shelf type outfit. The audio output, as far as volume goes, is excellent!
I also own the Sony CFD-G70...and in my opinion the CFD-G50 is equivalent, if not better, and cheaper by $30.00.
The subwoofer can be turned off which is a nice enhancement.
I only wish this system had an effective CD recall. It's frustrating to think of where you were in a CD after switching to the radio or turning the unit off.
As with all Sony electronics...this thing is heavy and built to take a lickin'.
