Remember 286 processor? It's that slow.

If I knew I would have never bought this. Picture is awesome no question about it. But the only possible way to use this player is to put the disc in, hope and pray that it will be compatible and not corrupted. Then you have to sit back relax and enjoy. You cannot pause or stop it otherwise you have to start all over and it is very frustrating.
I have little kids so I dont have 2-3 hours of uninterrupted time. Thats why I have TIVOs. I pause and resume. Rewind and Fast Forward. None of this can be done safely with Sony Blu Ray Player. It will start acting weird or wont respond at all.
Once again. The only way to enjoy movies on this device is start and watch all the way through non-stop. Like you are in the movie theater. Prepare you popcorn and soda in advance.
Funny thing is remote for this player has few dozen buttons. I have no idea why they put so many. You basically use "Open" and "Play", both can be found on front on the player itself. So slow you will never use any other buttons.
I think that enough. Great quality of picture and sound no doubt. Too bad I am never able to watch even half of the movie.
