Great Picture - Disappointed Otherwise

Pros: Nice design, good remote, reasonable price.

Cons: BUGGY. SLOW.. SLOOOW and BUGGY

The Bottom Line: I am keeping it, I just hope it keeps working. If you just want BluRay Buy a PS3, you get blue ray and games. Can't be as buggy??

I have owned many Sony products and have always been very pleased. This is the first to break that chain of success. I purchased this with a Sony VPL-VW60 projector which is amazing, (see my review on here as well), and I am not happy with the results so far. I am VERY happy with the image quality and menu styles, but I agree with others who have said this machine is SLOW and buggy. I can deal with the slow loading of disks, but the units slow response time to input and commands from the remote make it very annoying to use. You aren't sure if you have actually pushed the button on the remote or not. So you push it again and if catches up and doesn't do what you wanted because you pushed it twice.

My machine locked up three times in the first week, and decided that it would not play regular DVDs at all. The menu would show up, but no responses otherwise. I had to remove the power, and then finally play a Blue Ray disk in it before it would start responding to any commands again.

What is this running? Windows ME? WTF?
