Here is my two cents

I bought this phone / answering machine combo with the 3 additional handsets thinking we would have a whole house phone system. Well here is what happened to us…

We have had them for about 10 months and 2 of the handsets do not work due to broken antennas. You think buy looking at the phone that the antennas will be pretty tough but they come lose from the inside with little effort.

These phone systems require that you register each additional handset. That’s common in these types of systems, but for some odd reason they keep coming unregistered from the base unit, thus rendering them useless. This makes it so you have to keep going through the hassle of reregistering the phone to the base unit.

Last but not least the answering machine is weak. It is an ordeal to listen to your messages and deleting them is also slow.

We have tried to return them with no success and have now put in the AT&T 2462 system. The AT&T system is good for 2 lines on each phone and allows you to add up to eight handset. The phones are a smaller more attractive design and most importantly the antanas are a molded part of the case making them indestructible.
