You Need, I Need, Tougher Gums

Basically it is very helpful; but in a way that is different than I anticipated. I had no idea that my gums needed more stimulation; but my bridgework had recently shown decay at the bottom edges of the porcelain, and so I knew I needed to be more attentive to my dental work.

Over a few visits to the dentist, I received shots and resin-restorations to remove and seal off the decay. I began using this toothbrush, awkwardly at first.

The cons are mostly that of adaptation:

I found it hard to open my mouth to get around in back of my back molars, without drooling all over the brush handle. In fact I still do this, but now I don't mind it. After all, I never cleaned them much before, really, compared to this.

You do still need to do flossing as usual.

I use my manual toothbrush to apply the paste on my teeth, to start off; then use the sonicaire. Otherwise it doesn't spread the paste very well. I use gel.

The instruction booklet omits that one must unscrew the head to pop off the top portion. Unscrewing the head is ok, you won't electrocute yourself as it is all sealed up. Cleaning is just a simple matter of wiping the dried paste off.

I use my manual toothbrush still, to brush a little again after i floss.

It does make me want to swallow toothpaste. Involuntarily. So i have to be more aware while brushing than I was before.That is the most bothersome thing about it.

Pros are that my gums look much better. I feel like my teeth are firmer in my gums, and I don't bleed at all when i floss now. I also know that my back molars are getting cleaned.

After a week or two I was fed up with the buzzing sound, the spattered mirror, but I realized it was helping my gums. So I kept at it - Now I use it every day.

I recommend this as a step to take in dental care. It is not a replacement of your dental care tools. it is something else to do to strengthen your gums, and you will still need to do everything else you do.
