Pretty darn good.

Review: The Diamond Rio MP3 player is the answer to every jogger's prayer. Finally, a lightweight portable audio player that will not skip. But this isn't a product simply for joggers. The Rio player is small enough to fit in a pocket and listen to as you...

Rio and CD-RW for $199!!

Review:
The Diamond Rio PMP300 is a great little portable music player. While the 32 megabytes doesn't seem like it will go a long away, If you download audiocatalyst you can use variable bit encoding to make your files smaller. (that is- for high...

Great, on the run or not

Review: My first impression of the gift I got from a friend for being his best man was that it would be a useless piece of gadgetry intended for teenagers who skate to school and back. Big mistake! The Rio player has proven itself to be a very nice add-on...

Cute, and yet...

Date of Review:  Jan 12, 2000
Review: I loved the sleek design of the Rio. It looked like it was ready to go out and conquer the MP3 world. Yet, somehow it was disappointing. Why? There wasn't enough storage capacity for my mp3s. I have a friend of mine who needs to compress his songs...

Great starters MP3 player

Date of Review:  Jun 30, 2000
Review: The rio pmp300 is cool. I can now get all that internet music onto a portable device much more easily than plugging a stereo into the computer and recording it to tape. The rio's size is good. Small enough to fit in your pocket. And its true. You...

10 songs just isn't enough...

Date of Review:  Nov 1, 2002
The Bottom Line: memory cards are cheap enough to buy this, but it's an antique compared to the newer models
Review: Unless you buy a memory card (and the max size card is 64 megs is believe) you're stuck with 10 songs, unless you compromise the quality of the music your rip.

It does have excellent RIO quality sound and the cable used is kinday flimsy...

30 minutes? Forget it

Date of Review:  Aug 23, 2000
Review: DON'T BUY THE RIO. As you may know it only comes with 32 Meg of memory (this is the current standard for most base model). Which means you can only play about 30 minutes of near CD quality music at 128 kbps, the min. required bit rate. (Music sounds...
