Overall better than Sonic Heroes!
Pros:
Awesome music, especially on Knuckles levels!
Mind blowing graphics!
Sonic stages!
Cons:
There aren't enough sonic levels!
Songs have to be unlocked by beating the level.
The Bottom Line:
I would absolutely recommend this game because of its awesome price!

WOW...This game is AWESOME! I know it has been a while since it was released, but this is such a good game, I would encourage everyone who reads this to go and buy a dreamcast system (if they don't already own one)with Sonic Adventure 2 RIGHT NOW!Dreamcast systems are at a really good price and the game isn't too expensive either. The graphics, in my opinion beat Sonic Heroes and many games on the PS2!I own Sonic Adventure and Sonic Heroes, and they made me want to finally get my own copy of Sonic Adventure 2. This game really made me appreciate my hardly ever used dreamcast!
The story is pretty cool, you have 2 sides to choose from Dark or Hero, playing as either Sonic, Knuckles, Tails, Shadow, Rouge, or even old Robotnik himself for once! Of course, the plot itself isn't wonderful, but it is unique in how Robotnik and Shadow work together.
Now,for the gameplay. Sonic/Shadow levels are awesome! The speed and the enemies are simply stunning! Tails/Robotnik(or eggman, whatever you prefer)levels are kind of a drag until you get the jet booster pack where you can jump over longer distances. As far as the Knuckles/Rouge levels go, I guess I am just weird because I really like them, except for the last treasure hunt level with Rouge in space,it took me over twenty minutes to find all of those emeralds!I can't say much about the whole Chao idea, because I have never really gotten into it... But,overall, the game was more difficult than Sonic Adventure, but was a breeze compared to Sonic Heroes!
The music really is pretty good, I like the different types of music for each character but for some songs, the lyrics could be dramatically improved along with the beat(mainly in tails levels). My favorite music was definitely in the Knuckles levels! The hip-hop really had a cool beat!
Graphics...unbelievable! I was seriously comparing the graphics to my PS2 and saw little difference on many of the games I own! 60 whopping frames per second made the game scream with speed especially in the Sonic/Shadow levels! It seemed throughout all the levels, the game was exploding with vibrant colors!
