Some Things are too much.....

Lasgo is a trio originating from Belgium. Their work, originally released on Antler-Subway in Europe (the techno-trance label that brought us Lords of Acid and Praga Khan) the US release is on Robbins (distributed by BMG).

This is a difficult review to write, as "Something" is an incredible dance/cross over song, which Lasgo has managed to take techno dance, fuse it with pop and successfully get it on the radio.

"Pray" and "Alone" are going to be released as follow up singles and sadly fall very short of "Something". Even sadder is that the remaining album tracks fare worse.

Often during the listening of the album I found myself waiting for the numerous songs to take off. I was waiting for them to give me a chorus hook that would make me sit up and take notice. Instead, the album becomes exhaustingly monotonous.

If there are going to be any additional hits off this album, they will be a result of remixing and most likely available on CD single.

I would not recommend this CD to anyone who wanted to get it because they liked the single "Something". I would tell them to save their money and buy the CD single instead.
