Product Review

Who is the Smarty Pants in your family?

by   megaj21 ,   Aug 7, 2008

Pros:  Good for family as can have questions based on age

Cons:  Gets boring as no variation on round style

The Bottom Line:  Is fun for all the family but don’t expect it to keep you occupied for too long.

Overall Rating: 3/5 stars

Smarty Pants is a quiz game for the Wii, competition for Buzz on the Playstation and Scene It on the Xbox. As a big fan of Buzz I thought I’d give this a go. Although it isn’t quite as good as Buzz it is a good game. You get to spin the wheel to select a category and answer questions on that to earn points. While you are playing you can pick up various different cards like the ‘That’s to easy’ card which you can use to make the question harder for another player if they buzz in before you. Another one is the ‘double points dance’ which you have to perform a dance so that when you answer the questions you receive double points for it.

This game is good to play with the whole family as family mode allows you to enter the age of each player and you are given questions to suit the age group. The benefit of this game compared to Buzz is that you don’t get the annoying game show presenter but it does get a bit boring as all the rounds are the same. You buzz in and point at the screen to answer the question. If you don’t have a Playstation I would recommend this game but if you do have a Playstation I’d say get Buzz over this game.
