Disney at it's classic best!

My daughter received this movie as a gift when she was 18 months old. At the time she was a bit young to follow the story and get interested in it, but now that she’s 3 she absolutely loves it. What a beautiful classic love story! I think this movie shows Disney at it’s best. The story is wonderful, the animation is great even compared to today’s standards, and it has a happy ending.

Malificent, the evil fairy, is a bit scary, especially when she turns into the dragon, but not so scary that she’s given my daughter nightmares (like some other animated villains have done). The 3 good fairies provide several laughs, as do the two kings.

This movie isn’t just for little girls though. There is a brave prince who fights evil and wins, so it’s not all mushy sweetness. But I just love a sweet romantic ending, and this one is just about the best you’ll find.

At the end of the movie my daughter will grab my hands and ask me to dance with her along with Princess Aurora and Prince Phillip (and I must admit I love when she asks!) This is one of her most often requested videos and I don’t mind one bit!
